I would like to provide just a brief preview of two super weekender events to take place in Switzerland this year - we hope that some of you swing fans out there will be able to join us:

The 1930’s to 1940’s Spring Bank Holiday Weekender in Bergün 14th –16th May 2005

After the success of the “Weekend in May” event 2004 Delphi Special Events have organised a second stylish weekend in the lovely Hotel “Kurhaus Bergün”. In addition to our own favourite swing DJ, Herby “Dr. Rhythm” two of Britain’s top DJ’s will be providing music “for our listening and dancing entertainment”. If you love the vintage sounds of the 20’s to 40’s Chris "Swingshift" and Bryan "Okay for Sound" will undoubtedly fulfil your every wish. These renowned and very experienced British DJ’s are also known for their selection of rare vintage music, as well as for ensuring that the dance floor is always swinging by playing a wide range of American and British favourites. The weekend programme commences with a surprise movie in the main hall for those arriving on Friday evening. Gala dinners in buffet form, followed by exquisite dance music complete the programme for Saturday and Sunday evenings. The Sunday evening ball is a “theme ball” giving guests the chance to dress up as their favourite Hollywood character – anything goes! A flea market is scheduled in the main hall on Sunday. This beautiful area of Switzerland also offers a variety of possibilities for varied daytime activities.

This is a stylish and high-class event but at a low budget price of just CHF 220.-- (including two nights accommodation 2 gala dinners and 2 full breakfast buffets).

The “Dames Don’t Care” Rhythm & Swingheart Weekender 17th – 19 th June 2005

We are thrilled to announce that this popular weekender will again be taking place this year at the exquisite Art-Nouveau hotel “Schatzapl” in the famous winter-holiday resort of Davos. This is a weekender for all tastes of music ranging from swing and dance music of the 20’s – 40’s (expressly provided by top British DJ Bryan Webb “Okay for Sound”) through to hot rhythm, jump, jive, boogie woogie, rhythm and blues, rock and roll etc. Famous British weekender DJ “Nappy Maxwell” will be spinning the discs together with Frank’s “Saturday Night Fish Fry” (GER), our own lovely “Gee Double You” and “PiniMilani”. To top the event this year the majestic “Sophie Garner & her Swing Kings” will be providing live entertainment of the highest quality – designed to get every toe tapping! In addition, my very favourite top Swiss guitarist Philipp Hader will be providing the cocktail music with his Gypsy Jazz Band.

An exclusive and elegant weekender at one of Switzerland’s most beautifully located hotels. Price CHF 382.- (including two nights accommodation, 2 gala dinners, 2 midnight soups, 2 full breakfasts buffets and live music).
